CPI2-GTRB – Relay Barrier for ATE

This relay barrier is used when a CPI2-Gx device programmer is working on automated test equipment (ICTs). To radically eliminate influence of the device programmer signals on the target panel being tested, the relay barrier disconnects them off the target while it is under testing. The relay barrier unit can be docked to either A or B programmer’s channel by a 150-pin DIN connector labeled as “CPI2-Gx Device Programmer”. Two 150-pin DIN connectors labeled as “ATE” and “Target” on an opposite side of the unit enable connecting to the tester or the targets. Switching CPI2-Gx signals between the tester (ATE) and target are provided by the programmer through the DIN connector. On both short sides the unit has a pair of green power connectors (12 to 18V / 1A). Either one of power and control connectors can be used – whatever is more convenient for mounting the programmer and relay demultiplexer in the fixture. The connector pinouts and control signals are described in the CPI2-Gx User’s Guide.

The relay barrier can disconnect either the programmer signals only leaving the Ground lines connected to the target or to cut off al the lines, including the Ground ones. To cut off all the lines, including the Ground, set a miniature toggle switch GND accessible from one of the short side to the “OFF” position.
