The CPI2-B1 device programmer configuration includes the hardware unit and one preloaded device library license - the free Basic Device Library one. To support devices, not covered by this basic license, a customer should purchase certain target-specific device library licenses.
For the customers convenience, Phyton now offers a series of CPI2-B1-x programmers bundled with one or more preloaded CPI2-D-XXXX target specific device library license(s) listed in the matrix below.
Programmer | Description | Installed licenses |
---|---|---|
Universal ISP for all currently supported ARM Cortex M microcontrollers plus all serial memory devices and low-end 8-bit microcontrollers covered by free Basic Device Library license | ||
Universal ISP for all currently supported Renesas 8-, 16- and 32 bit microcontrollers, excluding ARM-based devices, all serial memory devices and low-end 8-bit microcontrollers covered by free Basic Device Library license. Renesas ARM Cortex-M devices are supported by the CPI2-D-RECM license, preloaded to the CPI2-B1-ACM device programmer | ||
Universal ISP for all currently supported NXP 8- and 16-bit microcontrollers, all serial memory devices and low-end 8-bit microcontrollers covered by free Basic Device Library license | ||
Universal ISP for all currently supported SiLabs 8-bit microrocontrollers with EFM8 and 8051 cores, all serial memory devices and low-end 8-bit microcontrollers covered by free Basic Device Library license | ||
Universal ISP for all currently supported STMicroelectronics 8-bit microrocontrollers with STM8 and STM7 cores, all serial memory devices and low-end 8-bit microcontrollers covered by free Basic Device Library license | ||

For example, the CPI2-B1-ACM device programmer is configured as the CPI2-B1 hardware loaded with the free basic and multiple device library licenses, which supports all ARM Cortex-M devices from all silicon manufacturers currently supported by ChipProg-ISP2 family. Similar bundles with one or more target-specific device library licenses enable support of other device architectures - some bundles support a single device architecture, others – a few of them.
Any preloaded CPI2-B1-x configuration always retains its scalability to support other target families and other programming control options. This may be realized through the purchase of separate licenses. Device libraries supporting other device architectures as well as a CPI2-ACI application control interface license may be added at any time.
